As a Music Therapist, I am specially trained to use music as a therapeutic tool. Communicating through music in a therapy context can provide a meaningful experience that facilitates sustainable, long-lasting change and growth.
I offer a non-judgemental, calm and confidential therapy space. My approach is tailored to the needs of the individual, with their emotional world at the centre of my work.
I have worked for the NHS, independent organisations, schools, care homes and offer private sessions. I am experienced in working with a wide range of client groups including:
I provide sessions across the London Borough of Richmond and surrounding areas, and also via Zoom. For reasons of confidentiality, I prefer to travel to the client. It is important we have a quiet, safe space to work in together where we will not be disturbed. I will bring a range of instruments, both tuned and untuned. If you have your own instruments that you’d like to use too, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement.
Prior to meeting, I find it helpful to have a chat over the phone. This is an opportunity to share reasons for coming to music therapy and to formulate some aims for our sessions.
