Music Lessons

I have been teaching woodwind (recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe and bassoon), piano, and music theory for over 15 years. I teach all ages and abilities, and also deliver specially adapted music lessons for children and young people with additional needs.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to the needs of the individual. I incorporate a range of styles and genres into my teaching and provide a solid foundation in the areas of technique, music theory, rhythmic awareness and listening skills. I enjoy preparing and entering students for grades, should they wish to pursue these, and have a 100% pass rate. I also draw on my skills as a music therapist to build a positive, nurturing, and enjoyable teaching environment. 

I  am happy to travel within the local area and offer lessons in your home, enabling students to feel relaxed within their own environment. I also offer lessons via Zoom.
